Inside Out ran a competition as part of their 10 year anniversary. The task was to design an item that would be useful for bushcraft that fits in the box. 

We had several different entries but the winning one was by Emily (Yr4). Emily had designed a fire plate. They loved Emily's design so much that they have tasked someone to make it. 

Each key stage 2 class had a 45 minutes workshop which looked at different fire methods in each year group and carving notches into wooden sticks. The children were complemented for their manner, behaviour and their skills.
